Does Cannabis Cure Cancer?

Does Cannabis Cure Cancer?

Man Who Discovered The Cause Of Cancer Wrote A Book On Curing It

Does Cannabis Cure Cancer?

Dr. Otto Warburg was the man who discovered the cause of cancer

he was awarded the Nobel prize in 1931 for his work. Initially it was my understanding that he discovered cancer but he actually discovered the cause which in my opinion is even more valuable than discovering cancer. Many people have recognized a problem, a disease, a tumorous lump growing on someone and labeling it a disease. The cause of that disease is even more important and relevant than the disease itself if you want to do something about it. His work came to be known as the “Warburg Effect” or the “Warburg Hypothesis” which basically entailed that cancer cells live off sugar (glycolysis) and that they also thrive in an anaerobic environment. These causes lead me to believe the opposite would help to reverse the cancer growth. What do you think?

He’s one of the most relevant figures in our history when it comes to cancer, what causes it and how to really treat it. Most people have no idea who this man is though, why is that? is it because of what he has to say about cancer and about disease in general? There’s no question that he was a brilliant man during his time. The first man to discover the cause of cancer is somewhat like the first man landing on the moon! it’s just the micro and macro scale of things.

His discovery led him to certain conclusions. These conclusions that he was led to may be true or false to you but I'm going to leave that up to you to decide. I trust this man (the discoverer of it) more than the American Cancer Society or any other medical organization though because he’s worked to get to a place of excellence and understanding of cancer. Large organizations that take your money for a ‘cure’ or to walk around in a circle wearing pink shirts haven’t done a whole lot with the BILLIONS of dollars poured in for research.

Oddly enough Dr. Otto Warburg gave his two cents on what can be done to treat and heal cancer and what changes need to take place in the human body for the human body to no longer have cancer. Let me say that again! the man who discovered cancer shared practical information on how cancer can cease to exist based on his understanding of cancer in his research.

So what was his thoughts on cancer? First, he was quoted as saying:
"No disease, including cancer can exist in an alkaline environment"

His first belief was that cancer itself cannot exist in an alkaline environment. What conclusion could you draw from this? Foods and drinks that are alkaline are beneficial for helping to remove cancer from the human body. From his research his conclusion was that cancer can not live in an alkaline environment. If you have cancer then wouldn’t it be a natural conclusion to put alkaline foods and drinks such as water into your body as much as possible as opposed to acidic foods which may in fact feed the cancer growth? It’s just a thought.

Dr. Otto Warburg also said “Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline. Water splits into H+ and OH- ions, if there is an excess of H+, it is acidic; if there is an excess of OH- ions, then it is alkaline.”

“All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen a rule without exception. “Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48 hours and it may become cancerous.” Dr. Warburg has made it clear that the root cause of cancer is oxygen deficiency, which creates an acidic state in the human body. Dr Warburg also discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen, as found in an alkaline state.

Dr. Wargburg understood the importance of oxygen and an alkaline environment around the cancerous growth. He even went so far as to say that “No Disease, including cancer can live in an alkaline environment” too. So from Dr. Warburg some of the best cancer and disease prevention (and healing, according to him) advice would be to give your boxy more oxygen and an alkaline environment.

How do you do that? More deep breathing. More nature. If you live in the city you are being bombarded by chemicals and decreasing oxygen levels. The country and nature have higher levels of pure oxygen and this was one of the keys according to Dr. Warbug to help the body be in an alkaline environment. Not only that but eating alkaline foods such as vegetables and fruits can help to alkalize the body environment as well.

Believe it or not Dr. Otto Warburg also wrote a book entitled “Dr Otto Warbug cancer: it's cause and it's cure” which blows my mind.

Cannabis, Cancer and Alkalinity

Evidence has shown that high doses of the cannabinoid THC can destroy cancer cells. It’s not that THC causes cancer cells to ravenously and indiscriminately destroy themselves. Rather, by binding to certain cell-surface receptors, THC activates a cell signaling pathway that leads to cell death.

In 1976 President Gerald Ford put an end to all public cannabis research and granted exclusive research rights to major pharmaceutical companies, who set out to develop synthetic forms of THC that would deliver all the medical benefits without the “high.” These synthetic lab made derivatives of cannabis have been used since the 1980’s to relieve the side effects of cancer drugs.

Thanks to Rick Simpson publishing his findings after treating his own skin cancer, the use of cannabis oil for treating cancer finally began receiving the media attention it deserved.

The regimen that has been used to fight numerous types of cancer is to ingest pure cannabis oil made via a medical grade alcohol extraction at a rate of 1 gram per day and to ingest 60 grams in a 90 day period for the full effectiveness of the medicine. There are numerous blogs, YouTube videos and websites dedicated to teaching patients and their families how to make this life saving oil at home. Patients have used this cannabis oil in conjunction with an alkaline diet to reduce their tumor size in not only skin cancer but numerous other types of cancer as well.

Since the 1930’s we have been adjusting our pH balance as means of cancer treatment. The principles of pH therapy are very simple. The metabolism of cancer cells has a very narrow pH tolerance for cellular proliferation (mitosis), which is between 6.5 and 7.5. As such, if you can interfere with cancer cell metabolism by either lowering or raising the internal cancer cell pH, you can theoretically stop cancer progression. There is general agreement among us natural healers and medical professionals alike, that changing a cancer patient’s diet is extremely helpful when someone is confronted with a cancer diagnosis.

Making Cannabis Candy

Making Cannabis Candy Marijuana Edibles

Making Cannabis Candy

There are a lot of people that think making cannabis candy is a difficult process, when quite simple. As it usually is when making edibles, getting it right is tough. The candy not only has to be potent enough to be considered medicine but taste good as well! The candy is worthless if it doesn’t have both of those qualities. But making the perfect batch of cannabis candy treats is in the following recipe!

Ingredients:

Candy molds
Cooking spray
Metal spoon
2/3 cups white corn syrup
1 tsp flavoring of your choice (adjust if you want but this is really the perfect amount!)
Food coloring (so they look nice, obviously!)
Candy thermometer
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
9.5 grams of dry powdered hash or Tincture

Directions:

First things first, spray the candy molds with cooking spray so that the mix doesn’t stick when you get to the step that requires it. Put the sugar and corn syrup together in a pot and put it on high heat until the mix begins to boil. Reduce the heat to low medium and keep an eye on the temperature. Once the temp hits 300, remove the heat and add in the hash and food coloring. Stir this mix vigorously. You need to make sure that the hash has been completely mixed in. About a minute should do it because the mix will start to harden soon after that. Add your candy mix in to the molds. You can either make them just candies or you can add in sticks to make them lollipops!

Let the mix harden in the mold and then remove and wrap them. This recipe will give you about 40 candies. You can always add in more hash but be sure that that’s the form of cannabis that you use. Kief could also be used in this recipe if you have enough of it. These candies last a good amount of time, about 2 to 3 hours on an empty stomach and an hour after a meal. No one should be afraid to make cannabis candy , especially when it’s such a benefit to those who are always on the go and enjoy eating their weed rather than smoking it.

Best Cannabis Gummies

Ingredients:

(1) package of Jello 6oz size or (2) 3oz packages any flavor
(4) envelops of Knox Gelatin or (1) box usually 4 to a box.
(1/2) cup cold water
(2) grams of your Favorite Kief or Tincture
(1) teaspoon of Canola oil or Canna Oil.

First you will need to Decarboxylize your Kief.
Preheat your Oven to 275 degrees and put your Kief in an Oven safe dish.
Heat your Kief for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
Mix Kief with oil to make it able to be mixed in jello mixture, put aside.

In small sauce pan mix Jello and Gelatin in pot. Add water to make sugar mixture.
Put sauce pan on stove Medium Heat allow mixture to heat but not boil.
Stir in Kief oil. Continue stirring while heating watching for mixture just to start to thicken.
Remove from stove and quickly spoon into molds. stirring while pouring to keep Kief even in Mixture.
Put molds in Freezer for 10 Minutes.
Pop them out and eat.
Place back in Refrigerator to keep fresh

I’m going to go ahead and say my first time Making Cannabis Candy was completely painless and made a delicious cannabis candy that helps me stay pain free.

Making Cannabis Tincture

Making Cannabis Tincture Chasing the Green Dragon

Making Cannabis Tincture
Great news! You can make full-spectrum cannabis tinctures in your own kitchen with almost no work. Formerly, this job was a messy, smelly, tedious, time-consuming, and dangerous chemistry experiment involving flammable liquids and a stovetop burner (not a great combination). In 2012 it became vastly simpler with the invention of an appliance called the Easy Butter 2 Stick Magic Butter Maker

The general idea behind preparing a cannabis tincture involves grinding and soaking high-quality buds in high-proof ethyl alcohol such as Everclear or Bacardi 151. The alcohol dissolves the THC and CBD (cannabidiol), leaving the plant matter behind. You then simply strain your alcohol/bud mixture to remove any debris from your final tincture.

For this alcohol extraction process, what could be easier than a self-contained, push-button device with digital programming that handles everything for you? Just put your herb and alcohol inside the countertop extractor, push a couple of buttons, and save yourself the intense labor that goes into making a tincture caveman-style. (Here’s a video of how easy it is.) It even comes with its own super tough, reusable nylon filter bag. So you can leave the cheesecloth, coffee filters, and pantyhose in the drawer.

Consuming fresh, raw cannabis or its cannabis tincture can’t get you high because the THC is locked in its “acid” form (cleverly named “THC acid”, or THCA). Fortunately, somewhere along the line, a cannabis enthusiast who happened to be a scientist discovered an incredibly simple step called decarboxylation. This process uses heat to create THC from the THCA within the herb. You can decarb your sample before adding it to your MagicalButter machine by baking it for half an hour at 250°F/120°C, generating some kushin’ for the pushin’!

Where does the green in green dragon come from? When soaking your herbal delights, you get a little more than you bargain for: Much of the plant’s chlorophyll seeps through, along with the desired cannabinoids and terpenoids. Chlorophyll has many healthful properties, from potent antioxidant and body deodorant effects to cellular cleansing and appetite suppression. And it gives your tincture its distinctive, deep, dark green color. Often, though not always, the darker the green, the danker the dragon.

This is the best part. You can do nearly anything with the cannabis tincture at this point, from mixing it into a milkshake to adding to any recipe you can think of and many more recipes that you never would have dreamed of. For maximum potency it can even be reduced by evaporating most of the alcohol, creating MagicalButterOil of Cannabis.

The sublingual method of tincture administration, say, a medicine dropper full held under the tongue, will provide the quickest onset of effects (about 15-30 minutes). You can also throw it straight down the hatch and in 30-90 minutes reap your reward. But where’s the fun in that?

From gummy creations of every shape and size, along with your choice of flavors, you can make your confectionery dreams come true. And it doesn’t stop there: You can create make soups, salad dressings, sauces, an oral mist, cocktails, even edible healing salve. The possibilities are without limits. So be creative, be experimental, and be responsible, because your “concoction” can be pretty potent!

Jodie Emery Quits Liberals and so should we

Jodie Emery Quits Liberals

Jodie Emery Quits Liberals

Last week’s arrest in Toronto the last straw for marijuana activist. Jodie Emery Quits Liberals and so should we

Activist and former federal Liberal nomination hopeful Jodie Emery has canceled her party membership, saying Justin Trudeau’s party lied to Canadians about its plans to legalize marijuana.
Emery made her announcement via Twitter Friday morning, accusing the party of backing away from its commitment to legalize pot.

“I canceled my liberal party membership & monthly donations,” she tweeted. “I encourage my fellow Canadians to do the same.”

In a telephone interview with The Tyee, Emery said she joined the party after it voted to legalize marijuana in 2012, thinking it was a good way to further the cause.
Emery said the campaign promise to legalize marijuana helped the Liberals win the 2015 election. The party’s failure to deliver on the promise should convince people to pull their support, she said.
“Political parties value nothing more than money and voters and volunteers,” she said. “So in order to try and convince them to take people more seriously, I think it’s important to resign memberships and stop donations to make them actually see the consequences of lying to the public.”

In the last election campaign, the Conservative Party came out hard against marijuana while Trudeau vowed to legalize it.

The Liberal platform said it was going to regulate the drug to ensure it didn’t fall into the hands of minors and decriminalize consumption and minor possession.

During a campaign stop in Vancouver, Trudeau said on local radio he would move to decriminalize pot “immediately” if elected.

Emery said she defended the party in the media when it was attacked for the legalization pledge, despite its decision to reject her as a potential candidate in a Vancouver riding.

Emery said the party is moving toward establishing a tightly controlled marijuana market where a handful of producers with connections to government funds will have a monopoly, shutting out existing dispensaries.

That’s not what she and other marijuana advocates expected when they supported the party, Emery said, believing that full legalization would include marijuana being sold at independent outlets.

The Liberals also criticized the number of people being charged with “non-violent” marijuana-related crimes during the campaign.

But last week Emery and her husband, pot activist Marc Emery, were arrested in Toronto and charged with drug offenses as a part of a cross-country police operation. The couple runs marijuana shops in Canada, including Vancouver, under the Cannabis Culture name. Marc Emery was released from a U.S. prison in 2014 after being convicted of selling marijuana seeds from his Vancouver base.

In December, Trudeau urged police to enforce current marijuana laws.

Emery called the situation “prohibition as usual.”

She said the government is trying to demonize her and other operators of small dispensaries in order to clear the way for big business hoping to get into the marijuana market.
“It’s a demonization attempt to pre-emptively justify the severe regulations they will be introducing,” she said. “I feel that this is all part of a major campaign.”

The way the Liberals want to make pot available would essentially be similar to only allowing major breweries sell beer in their own stores, she said.

Responding to questions about Emery’s concerns, the Department of Justice issued a statement on behalf of Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould.

It said current marijuana laws should be obeyed until Parliament changes them, citing safety concerns regarding minors. Those laws do not allow for storefront operations to sell pot.

Prominent marijuana activists Marc and Jodie Emery who own the Cannabis Culture brand were granted bail Friday after their arrest on Wednesday.
Marc Emery faces 15 charges, including conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime, while Jodie Emery faces five similar counts.

Officers seized $250,000 in cash in several currencies, 65 kilograms of marijuana and 2.4 kilograms of cannabis extract and other drug paraphernalia after searching seven Cannabis Culture stores and several homes on Thursday, police said.
Given the amount of marijuana, the stores “can only be supplied by illegitimate sources often tied to organized crime,” "ya fucken nature" acting Insp. Steve Watts alleged.
“The public should know that this isn’t an altruistic venture, this is purely a profit-motivated venture,” Watts said. “Anyone with a prescription for marijuana can go through Health Canada, who have an abundant supply.” ya I'm sure And still a profit-motivated venture

Canada Legalization and Regulation of Cannabis

Canada Legalization and Regulation of Cannabis

Canada Legalization and Regulation of Cannabis

Current Marijuana Laws

Cannabis (marijuana) remains a Schedule II drug under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and, unless otherwise regulated for production and distribution for medical purposes, is subject to offenses under that Act. Possessing and selling marijuana for non-medical purposes is still illegal everywhere in Canada.

Changing Marijuana Laws

The legalization and strict regulation of cannabis (marijuana) a serious and complex matter that will take time.

There are public health and safety risks associated with marijuana use, including its effects on the mental development of young people and illicit profits that support criminal organizations. There may be further health risks from illegally supplied marijuana products that are untested and unregulated. The Government of Canada will design a system of strict production, distribution, and sales of marijuana, in order to

Better protect health and enhance public safety by regulating access to marijuana for non-medical purposes;
Make it less profitable for illicit drug dealers and organized crime groups to stay in the marijuana business; and
Keep it out of the hands of youth.

Task Force on Cannabis Legalization and Regulation

The Task Force has completed its report on the design of a new system to legalize, strictly regulate and restrict access to cannabis. This advice will be considered by the Government of Canada as legislation is being developed.

Why Whole Plant Cannabis Is Essential To All Of Us

Why Whole Plant Cannabis Is Essential To All Of Us

Why Whole Plant Cannabis Is Essential To All Of Us
Whole plant cannabis. We’ve all probably heard the term. Companies use it to promote their products, patient groups campaign for the right to use it, yet the majority of scientific research into medical cannabis ignores it, choosing to focus on single compounds like THC and CBD. Globally, medical cannabis use and regulation is riddled with contradictions, inconsistencies, and hypocrisy, but for many the near impossibility of bringing whole plant cannabis medication to market is the biggest travesty of all.

The FDA says there’s not enough proof that the cannabis plant has therapeutic use, but its continued schedule 1 status means it’s a bureaucratic nightmare to research.

Patients see first hand that whole plant extracts treat their symptoms better than isolated cannabinoids, yet no pharmaceutical company will invest millions researching a plant that can’t be patented.

At the heart lies a seemingly irrevocable tension between what anecdotal evidence from patient experience suggests to be effective and what ultimately will keep pharmaceutical company shareholders and government regulators happy.
Cannabis a complex plant So why does it matter anyway if the whole plant is researched or not? Surely if we know that certain cannabinoids have therapeutic effects, we should just concentrate on those, right?

Well, that would be the easy answer if the cannabis plant fitted in with the current single molecule model of scientific research. But cannabis is a complex beast. With approximately 420 molecules, including 113 cannabinoids, over 200 terpenes, plus flavonoids, amino acids, proteins, enzymes, fatty acids, and sugars, it’s easy to see that the cannabis plant has a whole lot of botanical stuff going on.

So far, it’s the two headline grabbing cannabinoids Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) that have been most widely researched, with many scientists believing they are key players in the piece.

The Real OG Jack Herer Cannabis activist

The Real OG Jack Herer Cannabis Activist The Hemperor

Jack Herer
Jack Herer most readers don’t know the whole story; Herer’s efforts resulted in much more than a strain of pot named after him. Herer’s famous book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes, launched this Buffalo-raised Californian to fame.

The activist known as “the Hemperor” was also the subject of the 2005 documentary Emperor of Hemp, bringing his enlightened message of hemp legalization and environmentalism to an even wider and more mainstream audience.

In 1973, on the advice of his friend Ed Adair, Herer began collecting information about hemp and cannabis for a book. Twelve years later, in 1985, he published the first edition of The Emperor Wears No Clothes.

The ground-breaking book precisely documents the politics and bigotry that led to the federal-level prohibition of cannabis in the United States in 1937.

The Emperor Wears No Clothes has also been embraced by environmentalists for its focus on the thousands of uses of hemp, including its role for food, clothing, housing, fuel, and medicine.

This pioneering activist famously offered $100,000 to anyone who could disprove any part of his book. Herer’s book was so well researched, however, that no one ever took him up on the offer. Most casual tokers are unaware that Herer gave much more to the cannabis culture than merely a best-selling book about hemp.

In 1998, the tireless activist was shown a unique aluminum pipe in Jacksonville, Florida. “Each hit was the perfect hit. But there was a problem; it got hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter,” Herer told me during an interview from his Northern California home in 2006.

Coincidentally, Herer owned a small pipe company at the time. This enabled him to experiment with a variety of designs. He was obsessed with creating a pipe that avoided the heat buildup of the aluminum model he discovered in Florida.

Herer explained how standard single-hole pipes burn up to 30% of a gram of cannabis in only one or two hits. Herer and one of his sons have sold more than 30,000 of the pipes. The unique paraphernalia is marketed as a “double barrel, double venturi, ricocheting vortex” effect pipe and is available in a limited  number of head shops on the West Coast and from a few online vendors. Jack Herer is a Sativa-dominant strain that combines a haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross. It was bred by Sensi Seeds in Amsterdam, with the participation and permission of Herer.

During one of my interviews with the famous activist, he explained how the company offered him either a percentage of the seed sales of the strain or the red carpet treatment when Herer was visiting Amsterdam, then the epicenter of European cannabis culture.

Cannabis Activists NORML and Gun Owners of America

Cannabis Activists NORML and Gun Owners of America Vs Politicians

Cannabis Activists NORML and Gun Owners of America
Why Are Cannabis Users Increasingly Being Denied Gun Rights?

A federal law banning gun sales to individuals who use illegal drugs is causing confusion and anger among cannabis users as access to cannabis has expanded dramatically across the country over the past several years. As of Election Day 2016, 29 states now allow for the legal use of cannabis. Eight of those 29 states, including California, the most populous state in the nation, allow for recreational use.

With millions of people now granted access to legal cannabis, users, particularly medical users, are voicing concern that the federal ban on gun access to users of banned substances infringes upon their Second Amendment rights.

The conflict has caught the attention of cannabis activists and politicians, many of whom identify a conflict that is likely to become more pronounced as increasing numbers of states move forward with legalization.

Keith Stroup, the founder of the cannabis activist group NORML, spoke out against the ban on gun rights to cannabis users, saying that it is particularly unfair to those using the substance for health reasons. The issue in recent months became the subject of a high-profile federal court case.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which handles matters under the jurisdiction of a cluster of Western states, including Oregon, Washington, and California, in August ruled that the government’s policy did not encroach on Americans’ constitutional rights.

In their unanimous opinion, the court’s three judges agreed that cannabis, like any other federally banned substance, warranted the suspension of an individual’s gun rights, Despite the disappointment felt amongst those people at the intersection of cannabis use and prospective firearm ownership, there is still reason for them to remain hopeful.

The issue has not only caught the attention of cannabis activists; it has also been the focus of gun-rights groups, who have expressed support for the Second Amendment rights of cannabis users.

Erich Pratt, the executive director of the pro-gun organization Gun Owners of America, was outspoken in his support of cannabis users, The group’s outspokenness creates an unlikely alliance of those on the Left and Right in addressing the issue.

The issue has even caught the attention of conservative Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who represents a state that allows for the legal use of recreational cannabis.

The senator recently spoke out on the issue, saying that while she is not a supporter of cannabis use, she recognizes the burgeoning problem that the conflict could pose in her state going forward.

Cannabis For Brain tumor First Human Trials Begins

Cannabis For Brain tumor First Human Trials Begins

Cannabis For Brain tumor Sativex is an oral spray made from ingredients derived from the whole cannabis plant. The two main compounds in cannabis CBD and THC Brain tumor are present in Sativex in an equal 1:1 ratio.

Both cannabis compounds (known as cannabinoids) have shown anti-cancer properties in pre-clinical studies, and seem to be effective against a wide range of cancers.Brain tumor Anecdotal reports also suggest that cannabis and cannabinoids have the ability to fight cancer. However, GW Pharmaceuticals is the first company to initiate clinical research on cannabis-based medicine as a cancer therapy.

“We are very excited about moving this compound into more humans study and the prospects of cannabinoids as new anti-cancer treatments. This is GW’s first clinical study of cannabinoids as a potential treatment to inhibit tumor growth.”The company plans to investigate Brain tumor Sativex as an add-on to the standard chemotherapy agent temozolomide, rather than a stand-alone. According to GW Pharmaceuticals, pre-clinical research suggests that cannabinoids can improve the anti-cancer ability of temozolomide.

The Phase 1b/2a trial announced on Monday will involve 20 patients with recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an aggressive and rare form of brain cancer that accounts for about 50% of all brain cancers diagnosed in the U.S. each year. The trial will first have to prove the safety of the combined treatment regimen before further research can be done on its effectiveness.

In the U.S., clinical trials of cannabinoids for cancer are also expected in the near future. Sean McAllister, Ph.D and his colleagues at California Pacific Medical Center hope to begin the first human studies of CBD for breast cancer within the next 12 months.Sativex is currently approved in more than 20 countries for the treatment of multiple sclerosis symptoms and is also being studied as a treatment for cancer pain.

While Sativex has been GW’s leading product, the company has a number of other cannabinoid-based drugs in its pipeline, including an epilepsy drug called Epidiolex.Epidiolex, which contains more than 98 percent CBD, recently began clinical trials in the U.S. and U.K as a treatment for pediatric epilepsy.

Mellow Marijuana Edibles Help Newbies From Overdoing

Mellow Marijuana Edibles High Enough But Not Too High

Marijuana Edibles
At Spot, Moxey is crafting marijuana edibles that will get people high enough but not too high and testing them to ensure the dosage is correct. Just 17 percent of edibles are accurately labeled with the proper THC level, according to a June 2015 research letter published by the Journal of the American Medical Association. As a result, many cannabis consumers have no idea how much they’re ingesting and are subject to a multitude of unpleasant effects.

Spot’s cookies and brownie bites are dosed with exactly five milligrams of THC, an amount that leads to a considerably more mellow high than what Dowd experienced. “It’s not going to make you lose control,” Moxey said of the amount. “It’s my belief that five milligrams is the right level to be at.”

It’s not all about being at the “right level.” Spot launched the line of micro-dosed edibles in part to adhere to state laws. Washington is effectively a microdose state, because the legal limit is 10 milligrams of THC per serving, with a limit of 100 milligrams in an entire package. Each serving must be individually wrapped, which prevents producers of marijuana edibles from selling a mega-brownie and saying it has 10 servings within.

Not all states that have legalized some form of marijuana use are so strict. In Colorado, the limit is 100 milligrams per unit. In California, which has no limit at all, a vaguely terrifying 700-milligram brownie is available for purchase. Such a brownie contains more than 35 times the amount of THC necessary to feel high, but it’s unlikely that the brownie’s purveyor will eat only one 35th of it.

Even though the move to micro-dosing came out of legal necessity, Spot found these products were perfect for first-time cannabis customers a gateway to a gateway, if you will. “No one is going to get weirded out at five milligrams,” Moxey explained. “That’s why these products are selling so quickly.”

A five-milligram peppermint produced by Moxey was the top selling marijuana edibles in Washington State last quarter, according to data reviewed by the cannabis analytics firm Headset. “For routine customers, eating a five-milligram mint isn’t always to get high, but more about overall wellness and mood enhancement,” explained Jess Henson, Headset’s lead market analyst. “More low-dosage edibles will emerge as cannabis attracts a larger mainstream audience.”

Spot is planning to expand to Oregon and, pending recreational legalization, to California, where the company could theoretically sell higher-dosed marijuana edibles. But given the success of micro-dosed products in Washington, the company plans to continue hawking these little bites in every new market it enters.

“There are vastly more people that don’t consume cannabis and now do,” said Moxey. “You have to make it an enjoyable enough experience that someone will say, ‘Oh, I’ll have another.”

Cannabis Inhaler The World’s First
We Joke About It In The 80s and now behold the Cannabis Inhaler Cannabis consumption methods are evolving. Not only are the numbers of cannabis supporters going up, but creative innovators around the globe are developing new ideas left and right. From vaporizers to wax, there are now many ways to get high. If you thought you’ve seen it all, though, think again. Now the world has the first-ever cannabis inhaler that goes by the name of Vapen Clear, and there’s nothing else like it. The Vapen Clear looks exactly like your typical inhaler. It acts the same too, but without the albuterol. The Vapen Clear releases the good stuff, aka THC. It packs a powerful 10mg expenditure per puff, which equals to 100 total puffs per cartridge. Unlike your standard vaporizer pen, the Vapen Clear doesn’t heat the THC. Rather, it uses a propellant to blast the medicine directly inside your lungs. Not only is the Vapen Clear the first of its kind, but it also comes in three different designs based on your favorite strain. For example, the “Daytime” inhaler comes with THC from a Sativa strain, because a Sativa produces energy. In like manner, there is the “Nighttime” inhaler that comes with an indica strain to provide a more mellow and chill effect. Then there’s the “Afternoon” inhaler, which provides a steady buzz from a hybrid of the two. The Vapen Clear inhaler comes with its own unique benefits. One of them is its discreetness. When people see an inhaler, they think asthma, not cannabis. Therefore, the chances of someone accusing you of medicating are slim. While many cannabis consumption methods leave a strong odor behind, the Vapen Clear has virtually no smell. Again, the product doesn’t heat the oil, unlike other vaporizers. Speaking of handy, the size of the Vapen Clear inhaler is another plus. In fact, it’s so small that you can carry it with you wherever you go. Whether you slide it into your pocket or drop it into your purse, it’s easy to take. Not to mention, you don’t have to worry about lugging batteries and lighters along with it. So if you are a cannabis connoisseur who stays on-the-go, this product is perfect for you. At present, the Vapen Clear inhaler is only available in Arizona at select centers. If you happen to be an Arizona resident or plan on making the trip, you can find a store using their website’s map. However, if you want one but cannot get it just yet, not to worry. Soon, However, if you want one but cannot get it just yet, not to worry. Soon, Vapen products will be available in California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
