The legal cannabis industry in the Rocky Mountain state is on track to beat $996 million in sales last year. Cannabis sales in Colorados almost a $100 million per month industry.

dispensaries sold more than $270 million worth of marijuana, edibles,
and other marijuana products in the first three months of 2016 In March 2016, pot shops across the state pulled in $88.9 million in
cannabis sales, which is a 30 percent increase from March 2015. The industry brought in $92 million in February, one of the most profitable months since legal sales started in January 2014 In 2014, the state's legal retail stores sold more than $699 million
worth of pot. In 2015, the industry brought in a record-shattering $996
million in 2015. If sales continue on the same trajectory this year, pot sales should top $1 billion by the end of 2016.
